Wednesday, February 3, 2021: Low Carbon Virtual Whisky Tasting

The UK’s Department for International Trade and Scottish Development International (SDI) offered a private, by invitation-only virtual whisky tasting to highlight the UK’s net zero future, with a specific focus on sustainable transport, mobility innovation, and opportunities for businesses considering overseas expansion. This spirited session was moderated by Neil Boyden Tanner, International Markets General Counsel, Cigna, and US-UK Government Liaison, BABCPHL. Low carbon insights were presented by the UK’s Deputy Trade Commissioner, Kunal Khatri, all while sipping on some of Scotland’s finest export. Brief remarks from Brandon Beech of SDI and Sarah Petrie of the Michelin-Scotland Innovation Parc highlighted Scotland’s net zero ambitions in the lead up to COP26, which is set to be hosted in Glasgow in November 2021. Special thanks to Aberlour Distillery. Each attendee received samples of Aberlour single malt Scotch whisky shipped directly to their doorstep.
