PHL-UK Sports Industry Leader Meeting of the Minds

On Thursday, January 19th, the BABCPHL hosted a by invitation-only lunch for regional sport stakeholders. This meeting of the minds included industry leaders representing various sports. Throughout the years, the BABCPHL has offered programs around the Olympics, the World Cup, soccer, and rugby, to name a few. The purpose of this roundtable discussion was to thank our partners and to recognize their hard work and positive impact. Sport is a great unifier, and it’s been an amazing year. Hard work pays off! Philadelphia was officially selected as a FIFA World Cup 2026™ host city in the US, and our sports teams are boasting winning seasons.

Lunch meeting objectives were to learn what industry professionals are working on today, and to discuss future UK-related sporting events that are on the horizon. Did you know Philadelphia is bidding to host the Rugby World Cup? During the past few years in particular, sports programs have been something British Chamber members seek. We are eager to collaborate with sport industry stakeholders, especially those with origins and ties to the UK, to build upon this excitement and momentum.
