In celebration of International Women’s Day, the British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, in collaboration with the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia, hosted a breakfast roundtable that brought together trailblazers from across Philadelphia’s international business community.

The purpose of the morning was to create space for the women shaping global commerce in our region to connect, reflect, and learn from one another. As organizations dedicated to strengthening international business relationships and expanding global opportunity, we believe that strong networks are essential to the future of our region’s global economy. Supporting women working across borders is an important part of that mission.

The program began with welcoming remarks and sponsor insights from RKL LLP and Citrin Cooperman, whose support made the gathering possible. Participants then introduced themselves around the table before moving into a moderated discussion focused on Philadelphia’s place in the global economy, leadership and womanhood, and the responsibility today’s leaders have to open doors for the next generation.

Throughout the conversation, participants shared reflections on their paths into international business, the mentors and networks that helped shape their careers, and the leadership principles they carry into their work. The discussion also highlighted how the experience of women in international leadership continues to evolve across industries and cultures.

The spirit of the morning was collaborative and thoughtful. The table was filled with supportive, generous, and accomplished women who openly shared their experiences and perspectives. Even after the formal discussion concluded, many attendees remained to continue conversations and strengthen connections.

For the British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, gatherings like this reflect our broader commitment to strengthening international connections while supporting the leaders who drive global business forward. Celebrating the women who shape Philadelphia’s international business community is an important part of that work.

We are grateful to our partners at the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia, our sponsors RKL LLP and Citrin Cooperman, and the remarkable women who joined us to make the morning such a meaningful conversation.
