On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia’s Emerging Leader’s Group (ELG) gathered the international business community at Yards Brewing Company for its annual Winter International Business Networking Reception. Despite snowy conditions, guests made their way in to kick off the 2026 networking season alongside peers from across the region.

Members and guests connected over drinks and conversation, bringing together both newcomers and longtime members of the BABC community. The evening offered an opportunity for emerging leaders and established professionals alike to reconnect, expand their networks, and engage with the region’s globally focused business community.

The event was proudly sponsored by Baker Tilly, whose continued support made this annual gathering possible once again at Yards. Programming centered on The Power of Purpose, highlighting how purpose influences leadership, professional development, and collaboration across industries and career stages.

Welcome remarks were delivered by Zac Taormina, President of BABCPHL and Regional Operations Director – Americas at Johnson Matthey, who spoke to the value of convening diverse international organizations and strengthening connections across the global business ecosystem. Melissa McClure, Emerging Leaders Group Chair and Senior Global Tourism Sales Manager at the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, discussed how purpose shapes the next generation of leaders and encouraged continued engagement within the international business community. Rob Jaffe, BABC Board Member and Director of Business Development at Baker Tilly, shared perspectives on purpose-driven leadership and relationship-building in global markets. He also made a lighthearted nod to the timing of the event, marking a celebratory return for many following the conclusion of “Dry January.” Rob highlighted past programs and upcoming events at Baker Tilly, underscoring the firm’s commitment to supporting companies and individuals as they navigate challenges and opportunities in global market trends. The program concluded with remarks from Trevor Pritchett, CEO of Yards Brewing Company, who shared the Yards story and its ongoing commitment to community.

Networking continued throughout the evening, with conversations carrying on well past the scheduled close as attendees made new connections and continued discussions. The event once again marked a strong start to the year and remains a staple of the BABC calendar for bringing the international business community together.
