Dear BABCPHL Members & Friends,

Happy New Year! We step into the year with strong momentum and great promise for our region and our transatlantic business community.

As I formally begin my term as President of the British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, I want to thank you for your continued engagement and support of the BABC. We closed last year on a high note with our Signature Annual Holiday Lunch, which highlighted the growing force of media and technology and celebrated the innovation shaping Philadelphia’s future. That forward-looking spirit carries directly into 2026, a landmark year for our city as Philadelphia prepares to take center stage on the global calendar through major international events and increased global attention.

The year ahead reflects a period of momentum and renewal for the BABC. Our 2026 program is intentionally designed to strengthen connections, deepen engagement, and create meaningful opportunities for our members across sectors. From high-quality programming to expanded partnerships and timely conversations, our calendar is full and focused on delivering value. I encourage you to read this newsletter and visit our website regularly to stay informed about what lies ahead.

We are proud to support transatlantic collaboration at a time when global relationships matter more than ever. This network is a powerful resource, and I encourage you to make full use of it by attending events, connecting with fellow members, and engaging with the insights and content we share.

We are excited to kick off the year with two standout programs. On February 3, we invite you to join us for The Power of Purpose, an international business networking event designed to bring our community together for meaningful connection and conversation. Then, on March 4, we will host our Annual Global Economic Update at my professional home; Johnson Matthey, featuring a timely discussion on the economic forces and drivers shaping 2026. Registration is open for both events, and they are filling quickly. We hope you will join us to start the new year together.

Looking forward, we are intentionally cultivating a year of new connections, renewed engagement, and fresh opportunities for Philadelphia’s international business community. Whether you are a long-standing member, considering joining for the first time, or thinking about re-engaging after some time away, Mackenzie Sutton and I warmly welcome that conversation.

Thank you for being part of the BABC. I look forward to getting to know you better and to all that we will accomplish together in what promises to be an exciting and defining year for Philadelphia.

Warm regards,

Zac Taormina
President
British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia
