On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia hosted the 14th Annual New Jersey Networking Event & Dinner at King’s Road Brewing Company in Haddonfield. It was a stunningly warm evening with a glowing sunset. The town was buzzing with activity, and the brewery was packed. Nearly fifty spirited BABCPHL members and friends gathered in the beer garden for this annual signature program. Attendees had a blast! The jubilant crowd networked long into the night long after “last call” was shouted. Every attendee received two tickets each to an upcoming Philadelphia Union match; had the opportunity to win a gift card for King’s Road Brewing Company; and enjoyed a specially prepared English pub style menu. Chef Mark served fresh salad with cucumber, hard cooked egg and tomato, fried potato and bacon, dinner rolls, bangers and mashed sausage with grilled onions in a light gravy, whipped potatoes, fish and chips and fried shrimp with malt vinegar, and roasted red potatoes with grilled onions. Dessert was baked British bread pudding with raisins. King’s Road Brewery served a fabulous and extensive selection of onsite brewed beer. Guests were thrilled with the new venue and delicious fare for this annual event.

BABCPHL President, Jason Walker, Master of Ceremonies, thanked sponsors and introduced speakers from Eisner Advisory Group, JS Held, Johnson Kendall & Johnson, and his own company, Cross Border Cross Border Financial Planning USA LLC. Before inviting sponsors to say a few words, Jason asked our host for the evening, Bob Hochgertel, Owner and Managing Director of King’s Road Brewing Company, to take the microphone. Bob talked about the history of Haddonfield and the brewery, and mentioned “Tavern Talks”, inviting guests to join the fun on May 4, 2025 to decide what side they’d be on – Patriots or Loyalists – for an afternoon of immersive history and beer, and to sample a limited brew, King’s Road Brewing Company’s version of George Washington’s “small beer” recipe. Special thanks to our host, event sponsors, gift donors, and to all who made this annual event possible.
