President’s Letter

Dear BABCPHL Members and Friends,

Happy New Year! I am Jason Walker, Managing Partner of Cross Border Financial Planning USA LLC, and newly appointed President of the BABCPHL. I am pleased to introduce myself and discuss some exciting plans for the BABCPHL in 2025.

I joined the BABCPHL a decade ago after moving to Philadelphia from the UK, where I was born and raised. When I started my business, the BABCPHL helped me make valuable connections and grow through exposure to the Greater Philadelphia business community. It is an honor to serve as your new President, and I look forward to helping the Organization continue to deliver meaningful content and offer commercial connections for members as we navigate 2025 and beyond. There is a lot in store!

Before discussing 2025, I want to extend my sincerest appreciation for Howard Silverstone, who served as President of the BABCPHL for three terms over 30 years. Under Howard’s leadership, 2024 was a remarkable year. We participated in more than a dozen programs and ended on a high note with our Signature Annual Holiday Lunch.

As for 2025, Jane has already scheduled several events, including an immigration and global mobility webinar on January 23rd, which we hope many of you can attend. On February 5th we are offering our Annual Winter International Business Networking event at Yards Brewery. This activity is in collaboration with the international business community of Greater Philadelphia and is always a sell-out – we hope you will join us to expand your network and socialize with like-minded professionals over a few pints. And, on March 6th, we are hosting our Annual Global Economic Update featuring industry executives who will discuss how AI and innovation are empowering leaders to drive the economy. There are many other good things to come, including a new website that will launch later this month. Be on the lookout for our fresh look and details of additional opportunities to connect and get involved!
