Faegre Drinker is a law firm with one shared focus: the client.
We opened our doors on February 1, 2020, uniting Faegre Baker Daniels and Philadelphia-headquartered Drinker Biddle & Reath, two firms known for exceptional legal and consulting capabilities, and a commitment to service excellence. Clients are at the start, and the heart, of everything we do.
Our firm numbers 1,200 experienced attorneys and consulting professionals across 20 offices in the United States, United Kingdom and China. One of Faegre Drinker’s most prolific teams is our immigration and global mobility (IGM) team, comprising 40 professionals across three countries. As one of the largest IGM practices among the AmLaw 75’s multiservice law firms, Faegre Drinker’s IGM team works closely with our colleagues in the tax, labor and employment, corporate, and international teams to help ensure our clients receive strategic, wraparound business advice.
In light of today’s global business models, employees and executives need to move across borders to get work done, and employers must comply with a web of immigration regulations and worksite compliance laws. Faegre Drinker’s diverse IGM team blends creativity and business pragmatism to solve your immigration and global mobility challenges. With efficient case management, process improvement principles and 24/7 web-based technology, our IGM assistance falls broadly into three areas:
- S. Work Visas & Green Cards:
Contact: Beth Carlson
We advise on and prepare the full range of temporary and permanent U.S. employment-based visa petitions and work permits, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, J-1, E-1/E-2, I-140 Immigrant Petitions, PERM and Adjustment of Status. - Global Mobility:

Through our offices worldwide — along with our international network of local counsel — our global mobility team advises and represents companies transferring their employees around the world. Our attorneys can assist you in navigating each country’s work visas, residence permits, Brexit/politically impacted staffing changes, and more. - I-9 Compliance, Audits & Enforcement:
Contact: Sari Long
We advise and provide training to companies on federal Form I-9, state requirements and government contracts involving E-Verify; conduct immigration-related due diligence in M&A matters; provide in-depth compliance training to HR and legal teams; and represent companies who are subject to immigration-related audits, investigations and litigation involving DOJ, ICE, and other state and federal agencies.
We take a hands-on approach to complex case issues and collaborate across teams to provide a satisfying client experience.
Faegre Drinker and its attorneys have a strong history of partnering with British American Business, both in the Greater Philadelphia region and internationally across both the United States and the United Kingdom.
