Dear BABCPHL Members and Friends,
Greetings at the start of our new fiscal year! I am pleased to report the BABCPHL closed the books on another successful twelve months of operations, offering our members carefully curated in-person and virtual programs, valuable opportunities to network, and helpful policy updates. We continue to collaborate with the global British American Business Network of Chapters located throughout the US, the UK and Canada. Last month, after a three-year hiatus, the annual Network meeting was held in-person in NYC, and the Annual Transatlantic Business Conference is scheduled to return this September. We continue to work closely with the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, our colleagues managing other bi-national chambers in the area, as well as other globally focused organizations throughout the region, and of course with our regional and UK government partners. Special thanks and recognition to all of our partners, but most importantly, to our steadfast Board of Directors and Club Level members who set the BABCPHL on track and enable us to meet our mission year after year. It takes a village, and we are truly grateful to work with such strong leaders across many industries in both the public and private sectors.
At home and abroad, we continue to face insurmountable challenges. The constantly evolving pandemic is rattling the global economy, governments, and society. We are proud to weather this storm with each of you who enables us to forge ahead. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to another twelve months of activity aimed at strengthening and growing business throughout the transatlantic corridor.
Our next program is on July 27, and tickets are selling fast. Space is limited, and this highly anticipated annual event will close once we reach capacity. Please visit our website for details. We are offering several programs during the coming weeks and months, and while a bit far off, I leave you with thoughts of Holiday cheer. Save the date for our Signature Annual Holiday Lunch, taking place at the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia on Thursday, December 8th from 12-2:00 pm. Thank you for your partnership!
Nick Lotz
