Roundtable with Huw Walters, UK Ministry of Defence Director of Economic Security & Prosperity

The British-American Business Association’s Defense, Aerospace, Transportation & Security Comittee (DATS) invites BABA Members to join Huw Walters, UK Ministry of Defence Director of Economic Security & Prosperity for a roundtable presentation on the UK’s National Security and Investment Bill.
The bill will overhaul the UK’s investment security regime and will modernize the government’s powers to investigate and intervene in the case of hostile foreign direct investment. The regime strengthens the government’s ability to intervene in transactions that pose a national security risk, whilst also maintaining the UK’s overall openness to inward investment. It includes mandatory notification requirements of transactions across 17 key sectors of the economy, including “defence” and “dual use.”
