Dear PHL Community Partners and Supporters,
We are close to the mid-point of 2021 at Philadelphia International Airport and our airport continues to see traffic increase as the vaccination efforts expand throughout the country. Our industry is still facing incredible levels of impacts from the current COVID-19 pandemic, and we are committed to keeping our community up to date on what can be expected in the coming months at PHL. With that in mind, we wanted to invite each of you to a second installment of our Air Service Town Hall. We are pleased to welcome representatives of American Airlines, our hub carrier, to update us on what is happening at the PHL operation in addition to delivering updates on the current and planned restoration of the route network at PHL. American and PHL have been working closely throughout this pandemic and we are united in efforts to bring a sustainable recovery to our city and region. While our team cannot meet in person yet, we believe we have created a suitable format for us to provide an update about our regions connectivity and share ideas to help our airport moving forward.
The Air Service Town Hall will take place on Wednesday, May 12 from 2:30pm – 4:00pm. Our speakers will include myself, Mrs. Stephanie Wear, Director of Air Service Development & Cargo Services at PHL and three representatives from American Airlines. We are lucky to have American’s new Vice President at Philadelphia International Airport Lakshman Amaranayaka as well as the Director of International Network Planning and the Manager of Domestic Network Planning & Strategy. We will cover various updates relating to the current and future world of air service at PHL. The meeting will also include some follow up items for PHL to report back on to the group in subsequent meetings. A separate email will include the calendar invitation and meeting link.
