E-Communication – Pitfalls, Horror Stories and Better Approaches

Communication is a difficult question, especially as formal modes are increasingly subsumed into more informal and conversational modes, complete slang, quick quips and unthought lines. The problem, however, is that e-communications are not conversations, but are rather permanent, retrievable and searchable e-records that can cause significant trouble. Appreciating the audiences for a given communication, both direct and indirect, is thus critical, as is effective writing. Suggestions, tips and techniques and horror stories are included.
