Recognizing Ten Years of Service to the Transatlantic Business Community

By: Brianna Adams, Coordinator, BABCPHL and Junior, Temple University

April 2020 marks Jane H. Rosenberg’s tenth anniversary as Executive Director of the British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia. Since she assumed the role ten years ago, change, volatility and flexibility have been the name of the game.  There have been times of great growth and times of economic uncertainty, and today is no exception!  Throughout her tenure, Jane has worked closely with BABCPHL Board Members, steering the Organization through more than 100 programs, and building membership.  She launched a more interactive website and created a contemporary logo, giving a new face to the bi-national Chamber.  She strengthened and built relationships with Greater Philadelphia and UK Government agencies serving the transatlantic business community.

Jane manages the daily operations of the BABCPHL, promoting the trade and commercial relationship between the United Kingdom, and Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and the State of Delaware.  She creates an engaging and dynamic annual schedule of more than a dozen programs and events, including educational seminars for continuing professional education across a series of industry sectors.  Jane closely collaborates with leading global c-suite executives to execute activities.  She manages a diverse board of directors; leads quarterly board meetings; and creates the annual six-figure budget for the Organization.  She also interfaces with regional and foreign government officials, and with her counterparts at the 22 British American Business Councils stationed throughout the world, as well as with Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia management, to ensure BABCPHL’s success.

Jane is proud of growing the BABCPHL into one of the most successful and lucrative international chambers in the region.  Since 2010, she has expanded the group across the tristate area, actively engaging business and government leaders on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.  Jane enjoys working with professionals to deliver timely, topical programs pertinent to executives operating in both the US and the UK.  Activities of note include hosting several British Ambassadors to the US, Royal visitors, and CEOs managing multinational global corporations.

Throughout her time at the BABCPHL, Jane has executed many successful events.  Some of her most memorable activities include: the Philadelphia trade delegation to London with Mayor Michael Nutter in November 2013; the 2014 World Cup economic seminar; the BABCPHL 25th anniversary fundraiser held in the American Airlines hangar at PHL International Airport;  and the BABCPHL executive women’s forum in January 2020.

Jane is a lifelong Philadelphian.  She graduated from Germantown Friends School and Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies.  In addition, Jane is a Fulbright Scholar.  She received the Bi-national Business Grant to Study the Effects of Post-NAFTA Mexico.  From 1999-2000, Jane lived, worked and studied in Mexico City.  She is bilingual, English/Spanish.  While studying in Mexico, Jane also worked full-time for DuPont, S.A. de C.V.  After returning from Mexico, Jane worked for the National Consumer Business Industry Marketing Group at Deloitte LLP.

Currently, Jane lives outside of Philadelphia with her husband and daughter, where she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her beloved pets.  Her favorite pastime is active travel to new and exciting places.  She looks forward to resuming this activity when it is safe to do so.

Warm wishes for a happy tenth anniversary, Jane from the BABCPHL!
