On Thursday, September 9, 2021, a group of BABCPHL members and friends gathered virtually for a short British-themed networking session. Attendees each brought the drink of their choice and a special personal memento and story related to the UK.
Participants shared stories of their British travels and experiences through food, books, football jerseys, dolls, sustainable British branded gifts, and other various items. It was a common theme among the group that everyone longs to be able to travel and network again in-person.
Originally, we planned to host this event in-person at the Victoria Freehouse, a British pub in Old City Philadelphia, and longtime supporter of the BABCPHL. Unfortunately we needed to pivot to a virtual format due to the increasing spread of the Delta variant. We are grateful for everyone’s support and participation through these challenging times, and we look forward to continuing to gather virtually until we can meet again in person.
