Member Feature – Inis Nua

Inis Nua’s mission is to produce contemporary, provocative plays from Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales which reflect those cultures’ new identities in today’s world. This April, Inis Nua Theatre will be presenting the American premiere of How to be Brave by Welsh playwright Siân Owen. How to be Brave is a whirlwind solo show set in Newport, Wales. It is a heartwarming story of motherhood and finding joy even in the most challenging moments. The production will be recorded in advance and available for on-demand virtual viewing only from 12:01 am EST on April 14 – 12:00 am EST on April 18, 2021. Tickets are $10 – $15. For reservations, visit inisnuatheatre.org. Inis Nua will be hosting a free post-show talk exploring the play’s themes and relevant events by guest scholars and theatre practitioners. The playwright will be attending this special add-on event which will be held over Zoom on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 4pm.
