Drexel University, based in Philadelphia, PA, has been a pioneer in cooperative education (experiential learning) since 1919 – operating one of the largest cooperative education programs in the world, with over 6,000 students each year working both nationally and internationally. Over 1,500 businesses, industrial, governmental, and other institutions “cooperate” with Drexel in offering students the opportunity to acquire practical experience in employment related to college studies.
