On Thursday, November 21, 2013 more than 100 members of the Greater Philadelphia region international business community gathered for the French-American Chamber of Commerce of Philadelphia’s Meet the CEO event at the Sheraton Society Hill Hotel in Philadelphia. The event was hosted in partnership with the British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia and the Chilean & American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia. The guest of honor was John Buckley, Chief Executive Officer of Air Liquide USA LLC, who oversees Air Liquide’s Industrial Merchant, Electronics, Finance and Large Industries businesses, as well as IT, Procurement, Safety, Legal, Communications and Human Resources and also serves as a key member of the Americas Zone leadership team. Air Liquide is the world leader in gases for industry, health and the environment, and is present in 80 countries with close to 50,000 employees. Oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and rare gases have been at the core of Air Liquide’s activities since its creation in 1902. Locally, the company is represented by Air Liquide America Specialty Gases LLC, Plumsteadville, PA (Bucks County) and Air Liquide America Corporation, East Norriton, PA (Montgomery County). The CEO spoke about the company’s initiatives to provide the best that air can offer to preserve life, while staying true to its Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainable development approach. Guests enjoyed networking, a lavish buffet and delicious wine. One guest was the lucky winner when their name was drawn to win Georges Duboeuf 2013 Beaujolais Nouveau wine.
