Dear BABC Members,
As our fiscal year draws to a close, we reflect upon the past year and the success of the BABC. We are grateful for your support and involvement, and thank you for enabling us to deliver timely, valuable programs and information that help you expand your network, increase your visibility, and stay connected on both sides of the Atlantic. During the past year the BABC brought you a panel discussion about healthcare reform; a session with the CEO of MARS Incorporated; our signature Annual Holiday Luncheon featuring Sir Peter Westmacott, British Ambassador to the United States and The Honorable Michael A. Nutter, Mayor of Philadelphia; and British Business in Bloom – A Brilliant! Opportunity to Network, Learn, Dine and Visit the 2013 Philadelphia Flower Show, to name just a few of our notable events. We are pleased to report successful activity in all three states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, where Jack Markell, The Governor of Delaware most recently spoke about the importance of Great Britain to the region.
At the beginning of March, the BABC launched our Brit Invasion 2013 campaign with the opening of the 2013 Philadelphia Flower Show featuring Great Britain. Brit Invasion 2013 includes a series of exciting programs and BABC inspired opportunities running through the spring and summer months to foster connections, expand business and encourage BABC members and friends to enjoy all things British throughout the City.
We are currently collecting information for the BABC Annual Membership Directory – the region’s premier guide for international business. Please update your company listing and consider advertising in this useful one-of-a-kind document. As always, thank you for your support. We look forward to your participation in our upcoming activities.
Sincerely,
Hope P. Krebs, Esq. President, British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia
