Lincoln Financial Field – Philadelphia
The Honorable Michael A. Nutter, Mayor of Philadelphia invited the British American Business Council Board of Directors to sit in his private box at Lincoln Financial Center to watch the world’s most popular football club, Manchester United versus Philadelphia Union on July 21.
The sun was bright and the night was hot as world famous “Man U” went up against Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union. Strategically seated in the Mayor’s Box, the BABC Board was able to look out onto center field, comfortably situated above the crowd of forty four thousand plus donning the red and white shirts of “The Red Devils.” The crowd was treated to an exciting match that saw its only goal scored in the 76th minute by a Manchester United player.
Mayor Nutter and his team were present for the entire game. The night was fun and relaxed and the Board of Directors was truly honored for the privilege to be invited to sit and interact with the Mayor in such a unique setting.
