The Plough and The Stars
On the evening prior to the kick-off of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, British American Business Council members and guests enjoyed pub hors d’oeuvres, drinks and networking with fellow “football” enthusiasts. Everyone played to win with a business card raffle for gear from the region’s professional men’s and women’s soccer teams, Philadelphia Union and Philadelphia Independence.
Joining us at this event were: Stephen Baumann, President and CEO of the Starfinder Foundation, and Lianne Sanderson, professional British soccer player for Philadelphia Independence. The presenters and the crowd were lively and enthusiastic.
Brit Spirit 2010 was definitely “spirited,” especially after viewing the high energy Nike endorsed video featuring and presented by Ms. Sanderson.
